Here's a few snippets of information...
Sitting upon the river Trent,
Nottingham has a population approaching 1 million people which makes
in the 7th largest urban area in the UK.
In the centre of Nottingham you
will find the Old Market Square. Recently refurbished in 2007, this
22,000 square feet of open space forms the largest square in England.
Standing 200ft tall and overlooking the square is the flood-lit
Nottingham Council House. This can be seen from miles away and is
home to the Exchange Arcade high class shopping centre. Other shopping
areas include the Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh shopping centres
and also an area of Nottingham city centre called Hockley. Hockley
is home to some of the more independent retailers, cinemas and bars.
Maid Marian Way, one of the main
roads through Nottingham is home to the Tales of Robin Hood - a
visitor attraction taking it's visitors back in time to experience
the life of people around the time of Robin Hood. Around the corner
is Nottingham Castle, the Albert Hall, Theatre Royal, Nottingham
Playhouse, and many many more attractions and leisure facilites.
